This little girl is 2!!

Wow! I can't believe Carley is turning 2 years old!! She is growing so fast. So sweet and loves life, just not right when she wakes up! Being the youngest of four she can hold her own. Just ask the nursery workers at church. The other day I went to pick her up and they told me she was kicked out of the puppet show. What?? I asked. Carley had been pinching other kids so they took her back to her class. That girl! She loves Levi and they both love each other then hate each other at the next turn! She really enjoys climbing up to the top bunk bed and screaming "mommy" until I go and get her down. That games is played several times a day! This girl can dance and loves to sing! Tonight when putting her to bed, I turned out the lights and she yells "I want to sing a song"! So we sing! Love to watch her grow!

Randomness

It's been crazy to say the least with moving! Kids are doing great! A few sick kids off and on, but nothing major. Loving PHBC! Great group of people! Loving Tyler! It will take you 15-20 mins to get anywhere. Ashlin finished 2nd grade yesterday!! I am so glad, this teacher needs a break. It has been a hard year of homeschooling. Trying to teach with two little ones running amuck. Ashlin and Claire are the ones doing school. Levi and Carley just run around and yell. Carley just cries "mommy hold you" all day!!! Next year Robert is going to start helping me teach. He has agreed to take on Math! This will mean Ashlin will be up early around 6:30 and start school @ 7:00! That will give Robert about an hour to teach her math. Looking forward to that. That is just one of those subjects that Ashlin needs one on one and a quiet house. With four kids that is hard. We are also joining a Co-op next school year. Looking forward to that too!! (Levi says hi! He is sitting with me.) Well, I think that is a lot of randomness. Take care!!

So, I remembered a few days a go we never had Carley's 1 year pictures taken. Must be the 4th child thing or I'm just getting old. Today I got her dressed and charged the camera. We headed outside and took some pictures. She did great the first few, then she just wanted to play in the dirt. She really likes to eat the dirt. She is so precious to us and growing way to fast!

We jam a lot in this house. Robert has a lot of percussion instruments and all the kids have their own guitars. This night the girls were all about the vocals. Levi and Robert were jammin with the guitars. Carley is helping too!!

This Morning.
Last night.

Last night Levi was jumping in the bath and fell and busted his eye-brow wide open. He ended up with 6 stitches and lots of pain. The Dr. could not deaden it all the way, so Levi was in a lot of pain. The Dr. was very green at putting stitches in. The man had to take a break. It took 3 adults to hold him down. It's not cool to see and hear your child in that much pain.

Levi is a champ! I let Levi look at the picture of his head and he said "that looks cool". Boys!

Happy Birthday Carley!

Today we had a little party for Carley. She really enjoyed the cake part. Carley has grown so much this past year. She is so beautiful inside and out and has a sweetness about her. We are looking forward to see what God has for her life. We are praying for Carley that she will love the Lord her God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. Happy Birthday Little girl. You make us smile and laugh everyday.

Well... While Robert was mowing this afternoon he found 7 more baby rabbits!! They have a nest in our backyard. Last month we had 3 baby rabbits in the play ground. Those rabbits are now living in our bushes. It's like we have a rabbit farm at out house. That's 10 baby rabbits and 3 adult rabbits living around our house. I'm going to need more carrots from the store!!

Robert and I started the journey of him going to Seminary to get his Masters of Divinity 4 years ago. As of last Friday morning that journey is now complete!! I am so grateful and proud of Robert. He has worked his butt off the last 4 years and it has payed off. An MDiv is a 97 hr course work. It's long and brutal. I love you Robert!!

Well, as of 4 days ago the bunnies are gone. They have moved on and Ashlin is not all that happy about it. They were so cute to watch, maybe we will see them around.

Bunny Update 2

Well the bunnies are out of the nest and exploring their new world. I have read that they will return at night. Two are staying in the playground and one has jumped ship. We can't find him. So, I let you know if they return at night. I picked one up and they are very cute!! Ashlin also picked one up. I don't think Ashlin could be more excited. She calls herself "grandma" to the bunnies. On a side note a bird fell out of it's nest on Friday and we put it back without touching it with our hands (poor thing didn't have one feather yet). This morning while having a meeting at our house a bird flew right into our glass door. It was down for the count for a few minutes. I think it's okay, it just may have a headache for the rest of the day.

Bunny Update 1

Well the bunnies are 10 days old, today they opened their eyes! This morning I took some pictures of the mommy and daddy rabbits. Mommy was feeding them and Daddy was just watching them and looking out for his family. It was really cool to watch.

Baby Rabbits!!

This week the Mother's Day kids found baby rabbits on the church play ground. They are so cute. Yesterday we made the rabbits a tent to cover them up so they would stay dry today while it's raining. I know they survive all the time out in the wild, but this is my back yard. I just can't let the poor little things get all wet. Every morning we have seen mommy rabbit over at the nest. This morning we got the binoculars and watched her feed and bathe them. Way to cute!! I have read that she will only come once or twice a day to check on them. She will only nurse them 5 minutes a day. That's my kind of mothering!! They should stay in the nest for 8 weeks. At this point they are less then 10 days old. They should open their eyes around 10 days of life. We will keep you posted.

Ashlin turned 7 yesterday! She is a sweet and gentle young lady. Thank you Ashlin for being you. Here are a few things about Ashlin:

This morning has been very crazy at the Conn household. Levi tired getting the bowl of eggs out of the fridge. I really don't know why. I think he was trying to get a yogurt out of the fridge. I am guessing by the look of things the bowl of eggs were in his way. So he took them out (literally). This went bad for the eggs and Levi. I guess I will be going to the store later. While I was cleaning up the mess Claire ran into the kitchen and fell into the eggs. She's okay, just hurt her leg a little. Then after cleaning that mess up and go to take the clothes out of the washing machine and find a Pull-up in with the wash. If this has ever happened to you, you know what a mess this is. Let's just say I'm washing all the clothes again. One more thing Carley was crying during all of this. I really need a sweet tea from Sonic.

While typing this, Levi bit Claire. This day may turn out really bad for Levi.

Did I mention I need a LARGE SWEET TEA!!!!

Shaving Cream!!!!

Okay, this past week Robert and I have been doing some heavy cleaning. On Thursday is was time to clean Ashlin and Claire's room. The past year they have been sleeping in a queen size bed. Before this they had bunk beds. Well it was time for the bunk beds to make a come back. So we took the mattress off and found this!! The sad part is that just a few months ago I had moved their bed to a different wall and had clean under their bed. So, to my surprise I was not expecting it to be really bad. But as you can see it was. Do your children push everything underneath their beds?

Ice Skating!!

Today we took the kids to the Dallas Galleria to go Ice Skating. We had a great time! Ashlin and Claire did really well. Levi and Carley stayed with daddy and took pictures. Claire would fall and she would not allow me to help here up. She told me later that you had watched "Caillou" and he had showed her how to get up. So this whole time I know people around us were like "lady help your kid up off the cold wet ice", but she would get mad if I tired to help her up. That girl! Ashlin was very proud of herself.
